Enter a Max width and/or Max height in pixels and your images scale down to fit, keeping their aspect ratio so nothing looks stretched. Prefer a quick proportion? Use the Scale option to shrink to 75%, 50% or 25% of the original. Images already smaller than your limit are left untouched.
Why resize?
Phone cameras produce 4000-pixel-wide photos that are far bigger than needed for a website, email or social post. Resizing to a sensible width (often 1280–1920 px) is usually the single biggest file-size saving you can make — pages load faster and uploads finish sooner. Combine it with compression for the smallest possible files.
